Pittsburgh Galley Bathroom Remodel | Modern Transformation
The Challenge & The Vision
If you live in Pittsburgh, you know this bathroom: that classic, long, skinny galley-style bathroom that’s in so many of our beautiful old homes. This one was stuck in a time warp, complete with a dated old fiberglass tub that just had to go.
The client wanted something modern with a serious "wow" factor, so we built the whole design around this absolutely amazing 3D tumbling block tile. It’s mind-bending in the best way! The black, white, and grey pattern plays with your eyes and makes that main wall a total work of art.
To make that narrow space feel as open as possible, we tore out the tub and put in a slick walk-in shower on a low-profile black base. We leaned into that modern vibe with matte black everything—the rainfall shower head, the handles, even the door hardware. Our favorite little detail? That long, horizontal niche we built into the shower wall. For a pop of contrast, we lined it with a dark hex tile that perfectly matches the new floor.
