The Challenge & The Vision

How do you create a modern kitchen that honors history? For this Pittsburgh homeowner, the challenge was blending a cherished antique with the need for a high-performance workspace. The vision was to create a kitchen that reflected her style without compromising on functionality.

Our solution was to design the entire kitchen around her magnificent antique hutch, making it the heart of the room. We created a high-contrast backdrop with a classic checkerboard floors and custom matte black cabinets. We selected a heavily veined Calacatta marble for the countertops and a full-height slab backsplash
