Historic Mansion - Fireplaces (Sewickley)
Talk about a dream project. We were thrilled when General Contractor Benedict Construction invited us to be part of team to bring a magnificent Sewickley mansion back to life. The house was remodeled top to bottom, inside and out, while maintaining much of its classic charm. The historic remodel was designed by the one-and-only Betsy Wentz (www.betsywentz.com), who is known nationally for her fearless use of color and texture.
Our team was in charge of executing her incredible plans all over this beautiful home. Here's a look at what we did:
- Remodeled the kitchen, pantry, and mudroom on the first floor.
- Renovated and tiled all 6 bathrooms (5 full baths and 1 powder room) with a stunning mix of handmade subway tiles and exotic marbles.
- Retiled all 8 of the home's fireplaces, turning them into total showstoppers.
- Hung and finished over 30,000 sq. ft. of new drywall to create the perfect canvas.
It was an honor to translate such a bold design vision into high-end craftsmanship. The details are everything on a project like this, and the fireplaces were true works of art, which you can see here. You have to see them to believe it!
